General Nelson Williams Jr, age 73 of Artemus, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at his home.
General was born on August 10, 1952, in Amherst, Ohio, to the late General Nelson Williams Sr. and Stella Williams.
Along with his parents; General Nelson Sr. and Stella, General was also preceded in death by four brothers, Hollis Ray Williams, Kenneth Morton Williams, Charlie Williams and Glenn Williams, and one sister, Mary M. Williams Kuraczi, and brother-in-law Roscoe Messer.
General leaves behind five children, Nicole Fantauzzi and husband David, Gennifer Williams, Jessy Williams, Kenneth Williams and husband Tucker Meece, and Wesley Williams, eight grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Kaylee, Jeren, Allyson, Emilee, Timothy and David, two sisters, Martha Gambrel and husband Otto, and Linda Sue Messer.
Funeral services for General Nelson Williams Jr., will be conducted on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 A.M in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home. Brother Glen Collins and Pastor Tim Hamilton will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M at The Barbourville Funeral Home. The American Legion Post #88 will be conducting Military honors.
Pallbearers will be Wesley, Jessy, Jeren, Anthony, Jared, Jamie and David.
