Mr. Henry Otis Vaughn, age 93 of Manchester, KY was born in Barbourville, KY on July 6, 1933 to the late Henry and Lucy Ann Stewart Vaughn and departed this life on September 26, 2026 in the Advent Health of Manchester.
In addition to his parents: Henry and Lucy Vaughn; his wife: Alta Cheek Vaughn; 3 children: Jerry Vaughn, Tina Goins, and Tessi Hoskins; daughter-in-law: Rebecca Lynn Vaughn; a brother: Roy Vaughn; 4 sisters: Opal Bowling, Mary Ruth Gatliff, Doris Miracle, and Gladys Abner; grandchildren: Jerri Lynn Vaughn, and Crystie White; and a great-grandchild: Parker Goins preceded him in death.
Otis is survived by his loving wife: Gertrude Smith Vaughn; 5 children: Rev. Oakley Vaughn; Martha Lawson and husband Jeff; Linda Vaughn, Nettie Abner and husband Randy, and Ruby Lee and Mark Lawson; 2 stepsons: Yancee Mills and wife Lisa, and Charles Mills; son-in-law: Phillip Kenny Goins; 2 brothers: Donnie Vaughn and wife Wilma, and G.C. Vaughn and wife Phyllis; 16 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Vaughn will be conducted in the Barbourville funeral home Manchester Chapel on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12 Noon with Rev. Gary Mays officiating. Burial will follow in the Vaughn Cemetery with Oakley Spurlock, Millard Spurlock, Otis Goins, Jerry Brock, Tommy Vaughn, Jeffrey Lawson, and Kimberly Tucker serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home Manchester Chapel on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 6 to 9 pm and Friday from 10 am to the funeral hour at 12.
