Mr. Bennie Smith, age 77 of London was born in Manchester, KY on April 10, 1949 to the late Larkin and Celia Lawson and departed this life on August 25, 2026 in the St. Joseph Hospital in London.
In addition to his parents: Larkin and Celia Smith; 4 brothers: Larkin Smith, Smith, Jr., Johnny B. Smith, Den Smith, and Creed Smith; 2 sisters: Helen K Smith, and Judy Lawson; and 2 brother in laws: Ted Jones and JE Senters preceded him in death.
Bennie is survived by his loving wife: Brenda Smith of London; his children: John Smith and wife Janet, and Beth Smith and fiancé Tommy Pennington; 3 brothers: Ricky Smith and wife Anna Sue, Vernon Smith, and Tim Smith; 2 sisters: Louise Jones, and Mandy Senters; 3 grandchildren: Hillary Huff (Smith) Natalie Smith- Twinning and husband Jamie, and Morgan Smith; 2 great grandchildren: Gavin Huff and Shaylin Huff; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Bennie Smith will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Manchester Chapel on Monday, August 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Oakley Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery with Gavi4n Huff, Logan Lawson, Hillary Huff, Kelly Frazier, Tommy Pennington, and John Smith serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home Manchester Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
