Goldie Rose Taylor Phipps Barton Obituary

Mrs. Goldie Rose Taylor Phipps Barton, 77, of Barbourville, departed this life Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Alva A. and Thelma Hayes Taylor.
In September 1964, Goldie united in marriage with Ray Phipps and to this union three children were born. Later in August 1995, she united in marriage with David Barton.
She is survived by her husband, David; a daughter, Carla Phipps; two sons, Scott and wife, Tammie, and Jamey and wife, Frankie, all of Barbourville; her grandchildren, Londa Williamson Holder and husband, Rand, Stephen Peace and wife, Deanna, Derrick Phipps and wife, Mandi, Daniel Phipps and wife, Jessica, Tashea Bridges, Erica Lane and husband, Avery, Connor Phipps, Alexandria Tipton Cox and husband, Larry, Heather Carnes and husband, Corey, Miranda Overbay and husband, Luke, Abby Phipps, Emmy Phipps and Henry Brondyke; great grandchildren, Ethan, Emma and Karter Holder, Jasmine, Carter and Lilly Jack Phipps, Isabella, Jackson and Mikey Bridges, Abby Bright, Miles Carnes, M. J. Overbay and Baker Phipps; two step-children, Donnie Barton and Nikkie Brondyke and husband, Dustin; a brother, Don Taylor and wife, Brenda; sisters, Jean Disney and Ann Ketcham and husband, Jack; mother-in-law, Joan Barton; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, May 4 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Scott Phipps and Christian Bruce officiating. She was laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Rand Holder, Stephen Peace, Connor Phipps, Daniel Phipps, Derrick Phipps, Jerry Ketcham and Jeff Ketcham.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
