City School inducts 2025 class of Hall of Fame Distinguished Alumni

Several alumni of Barbourville City School were formally indicted into the school’s “Hall of Fame” at a special ceremony on Friday evening, May 23.

The honorees included Jerry W. Carey, presented by Carolyn Valentine; Gloria Knuckles Compton, presented by Charles Reed Mitchell; Nellie Lawson, presented by Michael Warren; Susan Robbins Liford, presented by Dean Jones; and Jerry Paul Strong, presented by George Hammons.

Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Committee Members include Dennis Messer, Carolyn Valentine, Susan Joe Pope, Charles Reed Mitchell, Brittney J. Smith, Peggy Wallace, Michael Warren and Jimmy Hinkle.
