DEATH INVESTIGATION: Man found early Monday identified

According to Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation.

On May 6, 2024, at approximately 6 a.m., Lt. Sam Mullins responded to a call about an unresponsive male at a residence on Dripping Springs Road in Hinkle.

Rickey Jordan, 61 of Hinkle, Ky., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County Coroner.

There is no foul play suspected surrounding his death at this time. The body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy to verify the cause of death.

The investigation is continuing by Lt. Sam Mullins.

Knox EMS and Richland Fire Department also responded to the scene.
