Obituary - Curt Fred Burko

Mr. Curt Fred Burko, 57, of Woollum, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home. He was the son of the late Seymour “Sid” and Marcia Burko born September 1, 1966 in New York, NY.

Curt was a former restaurant owner and enjoyed watching and talking about sports, often bragging about the time he attended the World Series to see the Marlins win. He loved cooking and introducing New York style Italian food to the communities where he established his restaurants. Even after closing his restaurants, he would still cook for his friends and family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his fiancé, Wilma, and their dog Chubbs.

In addition to his father, Seymore “Sid” Burko, he is preceeded in death by a cousin, Allen Blumenthal and an aunt, Andrea Weiner.

Survivors include his loving mother, Marcia Burko; sons, Alan Burko and wife, Stephanie, of Inman, SC and Logan Burko of Clarksville, TN; brother, Michael Burko and partner, Anna Sturgeon, of Covington; cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Mavery and Chistopher; fiancé, Wilma Holland; among other loved ones and dear friends.
