DBF carnival tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 28

Posted

With just a little over three weeks away, excitement is spreading as Barbourville slowly transforms into the iconic host of one of the state’s longest-running festivals.

The Daniel Boone Festival kicks off on Sunday, October 4 with a baby pageant, and will carry on through the following Saturday, October 10, when the week comes to a crescendo with the much-anticipated parade, activities and concerts that have come to define the festival over the years.

While adults enjoy the sights, Pioneer Village food booths and entertainment, the kids want to take to the carnival rides, which do require tickets. Some rides will require more than one ticket.

Advanced ticket sales for this year’s festival carnival tickets will take place at Barbourville High School, beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 28. The tickets will be sold from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday going forward until they are sold out. The Daniel Boone Festival Committee is maintaining the price of each ticket at $1.00. For any questions relating to ticket sales, call 606-546-3120, ext. 2.

Tickets sold by the carnival vendor are markedly increased over the advanced ticket sale price so be sure to get to Barbourville High School as soon as possible on Monday, September 28 to secure your tickets ahead of the 78th annual Daniel Boone Festival.
