The Barbourville Woman’s Study Club has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the community by making a generous donation to CASA of the Cumberlands, an organization dedicated to advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The contribution will support CASA’s mission of training and equipping Court Appointed Special Advocates-volunteers who stand beside vulnerable children as they navigate the court system, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are prioritized.
Club President Dianna Adams shared that supporting CASA aligns with the Woman’s Club’s longstanding focus on service, education, and improving the lives of families throughout Knox County and the surrounding region.
“CASA plays an essential role in protecting children and giving them hope,” Claudia Greenwood Club member and CASA board member noted. “We are honored to support the advocates who work tirelessly to ensure every child has a safe, stable, and loving future.”
CASA of the Cumberlands expressed appreciation for the gift, noting that community partnerships like this one help sustain their work across multiple counties. Donations directly fund volunteer training, outreach, and resources that allow advocates to remain a steady presence in a child’s life during difficult circumstances.
The Barbourville Woman’s Club continues to be an active force for good in the community, supporting organizations and initiatives that uplift families, promote education, and strengthen local services.
