CRESTWOOD — Scarlett Williams tossed a no-hitter Tuesday, leading Knox County to a 7-1 victory over Morehead in the third round of the loser’s bracket at the 11U Softball All-Star State Tournament at Peggy Baker Field.
Williams was dominant in the pitcher’s circle, not allowing a hit while surrendering just one unearned run. She kept Morehead off balance throughout the game as Knox County continued its march through the consolation bracket.
Knox County wasted little time taking control, scoring once in the first inning before adding five runs in the second inning to build a commanding 6-0 lead.
