Snow Days mean Snow Cream

Posted

The past few days have been filled with fear and worry as we began to prepare for the first winter snow of 2026. My heart always goes out to people who have to work outside or drive in it when the weather gets rough. One thing about living in Kentucky, you may experience all 4 seasons in a week. Monday can be sunny and 60 degrees and by Saturday we could be expecting 2-12 inches of snow, you just never know.
I’m not a snow person. Yes, it’s beautiful and it’s ofen the best time to snap pics when the white stuff adorns the mountains. The winter weather can paint quite the masterpiece. I however can’t stand the freezing temperatures and worry about the sick, the shut in, and of course those critters left to fend for themselves out in the cold. Did I mention the rising costs of the heat bill? Thankfully these cold spells much like hard times, don’t last long and makes me look forward to Spring that much more. If you are looking of a way to make the most out of the snow, then try this winter treat. If you have a recipe that you would like to share with us, email kdcole1120@gmail.com
