Funeral services for Carl Smith will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 P.M at Granny’s Branch Holiness Church. Brother Paul Mitchell and Brother Gary Dugger will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M at Granny’s Branch Holiness Church.
Carl Smith age 71, of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Greg and Irene Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was of the holiness faith.
Carl was born in Redbird, Kentucky on February 19, 1955, to the late Vernon and Mae Smith.
Along with his parents, Vernon and Mae, Carl was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Smith, one daughter, Brenda Sue Smith, four brothers, Charlie Smith, Herbert “Whitey” Henson, Garry Smith, and Bill Henson, one sister, Maudie Henson, and a special mother Deavide Smith.
Carl leaves behind three children, Carl Adam Smith and Sondra Mitton, Pearlie Mae Baker and Chad, Priscilla Riddell, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four brothers, Vernon Smith and Peggy, Moe Smith and Loretta, Marshall Smith and Larry Smith, two sisters, Irene Gray and Debra Swafford, along with other family and friends to miss him and to mourn his passing.
