The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that traffic on U.S. 25E southbound in Knox County will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday, August 24, as contractors perform shoulder repairs.
The lane reduction will be in place at mile point 11.3, from the railroad crossing to Knox Street (KY 2420).
Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. each day.
The project is expected to last approximately three to four weeks, depending on weather conditions.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect possible delays and use caution when approaching and traveling through the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed and be alert to construction personnel, equipment, signage and changing traffic conditions.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
