A Dr. Seuss book event was successfully hosted by the GFWC Kentucky Barbourville Junior Woman's Study Club in partnership with the Knox County Public Library on March 6th, 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
Club members and volunteers from Union Commonwealth University's football team facilitated engaging book-related activities for children in age groups 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9 and above.
The event drew over forty children who enjoyed photos with the Cat in the Hat, received free books courtesy of the GFWC Kentucky Barbourville Junior Woman's Study Club, and savored refreshments provided by the library.
Thank you to all the parents and grandparents for bringing their children to this fun-filled and educational experience.
