Clarifications from March 4 Fiscal Court Story

In the March 4 issue of The Mountain Advocate, a stretch of road was incorrectly identified as Highway 25E. The road mentioned by citizen Don Gray was South Highway 11.
A professional contractor, originally from Knox County, now living in North Carolina was incorrectly identified as an insurance agent. The contractor in question works with the county’s Kay Jay Buyout Program.
“Well, I stand by on this program 100%,” said Judge-Exec. Mike Mitchell. “It’s really helped Knox County residents that’s been impacted by that flood zone that they live in, and it’s giving people opportunities to get out of the risk factor of getting flooded every year or so.”
