Barbourville High School held an Initiation & Installation Ceremony for students who are members of the JAG Career Association, where members, new and existing, were sworn in, and participated in a candle ceremony.
JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) Career Association was established to help members explore and gain knowledge of their possible career pathways, to evaluate the opportunities of pursuing further education, connect members with representatives of their career and education paths, develop more knowledge and skills, secure employment in a job, and to demonstrate their ability to enter and advance with the employer.
Closing remarks were made by Principal Andrew Roark and keynote speaker, Kentucky State Representative for the 86th District, Tom O’Dell Smith.
