Safety First Program Offers a Day of Fun, Learning

An event promoting safety awareness was held recently at Maplewood Apartments in Barbourville.

The “Fitch Irick’s Annual Safety Awareness” program was held for residents of the apartment community on Saturday, June 21 and included food, games and refreshments, as well as information and resources for free substance abuse treatment shared by representatives of Hope City and Redemption Road local rehabilitation programs.

The main initiative of the program is designed to enhance awareness and educate the community on fire prevention and safety practices.
