Ten young actors stole the spotlight last week in A, B, C-aesar, a clever retelling of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, performed by students at Corbin’s K–3 Drama Camp, held at Corbin’s School of Innovation. Directed by Brooke Stansbury, the 10-minute show was filled with humor, famous lines, and just the right amount of over-the-top drama.
But these little thespians didn’t just get to show off their acting skills, they also had a hand in designing their props, costumes, and sets. Scarlett, a Junior Stage Manager, said,  “I can’t believe how it all came together in just one week! It was great to see everyone’s creativity.”
Parent, Mandy Lockhart, said that, “(her daughter) had a great time.” She added, “I’m so thankful for the school system for incorporating the arts at such a young age. It’s important to let their creativity flow in different ways and for them to be excited about learning new things.”
To that point, everyone agreed that they came away with something new and can sum up the experience as, “…fun, magical, creative, and great!”
