Obituary - Tipp Darrell Mills

Tipp Darrell Mills, age 66, of Flat Lick, Kentucky, was born August 17th, 1958, in Pineville, Kentucky.  He was the son of the late John D. Mills and Juanita Hobbs Mills.  Darrell was a dedicated member of Coalport Missionary Baptist Church and a retired welder.

Along with his parents, John and Juanita Mills, Darrell was preceded in death by sisters, Cora Mae Asher, Norma Ledington, Sharon Chance, and Meriam Knuckles, and brothers Donald D. Mills, John Stanley Mills, and Dennis George Mills.

Darrell is survived by his sister Peggy Langley and her husband Jim of Flat Lick, Kentucky, along with many dear, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Mills family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Friday, June 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Reverend Larry Sizemore will officiate assisted by Billy Crawford, Sr. Musical tributes to be performed by Denise Crawford. Burial will follow the funeral service in the A. J. Gray Cemetery, Flat Lick, Kentucky with Vern, Tyler, and Trevor West, William Babbs, Bill Crawford, David Lawson, and Lonnie Carter, serving as Pallbearers. The Mills family expresses much gratitude, for the care and support shown to Darrell, by the following Honorary Pallbearers: Bluegrass Care Navigators, Martha Combs-Woolum, Home Helpers Home Care, and special friends Chris Smith, Darrell Brock, and Jay McCreary.  A special thank you also to Darrell’s niece Bonnie and cousin Brenda.

Please join the Mills family at Concord Youth Center for fellowship and food following Darrell's funeral service and burial. Food will be provided by Coalport Missionary Baptist Church and Concord Youth Center.
