Senate President discusses budget, Beshear as potential VP pick
Senate President Robert Stivers discussed the most recent legislative budget, weighed in on Governor Beshear as a potential Vice President pick for the Democratic party, and answered media questions during a press conference on Thursday, speaking from Table 34 at The Wrigley restaurant in Corbin.
The senator said he didn’t think the Kentucky governor would be selected as the Democratic nominee for Vice President because he feels the state will vote Republican this November. He also reported he is proud of the legislature’s work in lowering taxes for Kentuckians while still providing a budget surplus for the state.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
