August 14, 2015

Traffic will be shifted to allow work

A pavement project on a section of U.S. 25 in Laurel County began shifting traffic on Monday, Aug. 10. The project, which will remove the current asphalt pavement and replace it with concrete pavement, begins at mile point zero and extends to mile point 0.262. The work will require lanes to be shifted on U.S. 25 and U.S. 25 W. The right lane of U.S. 25E from Barbourville to Corbin will also be closed through the duration of the project, which has a completion date of Nov. 15.

Crews will work in the area during the day and night. Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and be alert for crew members and equipment.

The date, time and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
