A Knox County man has died following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.
According to a release from Clay County Coroner Danny Finley, the coroner’s office was dispatched to the emergency room at Manchester Memorial Hospital about 7:55 p.m. Saturday evening.
Prior to Finley’s arrival, he was advised by Manchester Police Department Officer Jeff Senters that Stephen Gray, 49 of Woolum, Ky., had lost control of his motorcycle on the Manchester exit ramp, after exiting the Hal Rogers Parkway East Bound, striking the guardrail. Gray then struck a reflector sign post.
Gray was transported to the emergency room at Manchester Memorial Hospital where he later died from blunt force injuries to the head and abdomen.
Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
