A Knox County educator is one of four 24 outstanding Kentucky educators selected as recipients of the 2015 Ashland Inc. Teacher Achievement Awards (TAA).

Elizabeth M. Lovett, an itinerant elementary music education teacher for the Knox County Public Schools, was selected for the award by the Kentucky Department of Education and Ashland, Inc.   Lovett now joins other distinguished professionals in competing for the 2015 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Award, which will be announced next month.

“Beth brings creativity and enthusiasm to both the classroom and the teaching profession,” said Knox Schools Superintendent Kelly Sprinkles.

“She is dedicated to the students of Knox County, the teachers of the school district, and education throughout the Commonwealth.”
