The Knox Central Lady Panther Volleyball Team struggled in their season opener on Thursday evening against defending 51st District champion Whitley County.  The Panthers dropped three straight sets to the Colonels, (25-13), (25-13) and (25-20).  Coach Barbara Gregory said that she was pleased with the progress her team has made up to this point and said that this team, by the middle of the season, will be as good or better than the Whitley County opponent. Sadie Harris had one ace and Mary Jude Stewart finished with one block and 12 digs. Vinie Price and Kristen Smith each had five digs.
