Knox Central has strong showing at local swim meet.

A Knox Central swimmer prepares to enter the water at a local meet held at the Stiver’s Aquatic Center on Dec. 13. The Panthers girls’ team placed second while the boys’ team came in third.

The Knox Central High School swim team had a strong showing at a local meet at the Stiver’s Aquatic on Dec. 13. The boys’ team finished the day in third place behind Corbin High School and Oneida Baptist Institute while the girls’ team took second place to Corbin.


The Knox Central boys’ results were as follows: Frankie Robinson placed second in the 200 meter freestyle and twelfth in the 50 meter freestyle, Brian Gibbs took first in the 50 and 100 meter freestyle, Dustin Massengill finished third in the 500 freestyle and fifth in the 100 meter breaststroke, the KCHS boys’ 200 meter freestyle relay team of Jordan Evans, Frankie Robinson, Bill Masters and Brian Gibbs took second place while the boys’ 400 meter relay team of Jordan Evans, Dustin Massengill, William Masters and Frankie Robinson finished third.
