Two Flat Lick men are behind bars after Knox County Sheriff’s deputies found drugs and stolen items at their home.
Deputies Sydney Wagner and Sam Mullins arrived at a home on Merida Drive in Flat Lick to serve a warrant for David Mullins. At the residence, deputies also found David Merida, Mullins’ father, and requested permission to search the premises, to which Merida consented.
Inside the residence, deputies discovered a large quantity of narcotics, including a large quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine and a large quantity of assorted controlled pills. Outside the home, deputies recovered a John Deere 650 Dozer reported stolen from Bell County, as well as various vehicles, ATVs, motorcycles, lawn mowers, tools and other miscellaneous items believed to be stolen.
Merida was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-1st Degree/Methamphetamine. Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-2nd Degree and Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-3rd Degree.
Assisting Wagner and Mullins are the scene were Sgt. Carl Bolton, Sgt. Carl Frith, and Cpt. William Stewart.
Both Merida and Mullins were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing by Deputy Mullins.
